Well, here it is, Volume Five!! Made in a garden shed during Lockdown 2020, so only Rob & Geoff from the band are on this one. It's a funny old experience, hearing The Sitting Tenants; one album of raw Garage Rock is followed by this beautiful, quirky set of songs, more Pentangle than The Pretty Things. A dash of Donovan; a touch of the Ummagumma's; that hint of Lionel Bart on Austerity Street, a nod to John Martyn on The Tin Man, and progressive style folk wanderings are also there on the epic concluding track Falling Backwards. Mellow, delicate & quirky, this set could have been recorded in 1970 for release on Transatlantic, but the lockdown gave Rob & Geoff the chance to shine, missing their bandmates Ian & Paul, but still releasing yet another fine album to add to those already treasured.
